Marlena Griffin, Administrator
Helping make the first step toward counseling feel a little easier.
Marlena Griffin is the Administrator at Salt & Light Counseling in Southaven, Mississippi, where she helps keep the day-to-day details organized and helps clients navigate the process of getting connected with the right counselor.
With nine years of experience in administrative work, Marlena brings organization, dependability, and a genuine desire to help others to her role. She first entered the administrative field after being encouraged by a family friend and has continued to find purpose in work that allows her to support people.
Marlena understands that reaching out to a counseling office for the first time can feel intimidating. Her goal is to help make that process feel simple, welcoming, and manageable—from the first conversation through getting scheduled with one of Salt & Light's counselors.
She hopes that every person who interacts with her leaves feeling at peace knowing that they are taking a positive step and that someone is here to help.
Helping You Take the First Step
Marlena is often one of the first people you may interact with when reaching out to Salt & Light Counseling.
Whether you're looking for information, have questions about scheduling, or aren't quite sure which counselor might be the right fit, Marlena is here to help you navigate the process.
She knows that you don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out.
You simply have to take the first step.
From there, Marlena and the Salt & Light team can help you get connected with a counselor who can support you in the next part of your journey.
What Marlena Brings to Salt & Light
Marlena's strongest quality is her organization. She enjoys keeping things running smoothly and making sure the details are taken care of.
But her role is about more than organization.
She genuinely enjoys helping people and values being part of a team that is growing and making a difference in the lives of the people it serves.
She is grateful to be part of a practice that is committed to providing compassionate care and helping people find the support they need.
Beyond the Practice
When Marlena isn't working, her favorite place to be is with her family.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and children, including her 16-year-old stepdaughter, one-year-old son, and soon-to-be two-month-old daughter.
Saturdays are especially meaningful to Marlena. She loves spending time with her family and watching college baseball and football together.
For Marlena, family time is about slowing down, making memories, and enjoying the people she loves most.
